Description:
Westinghouse iGen 2500 inverter generator was designed with the recreational user in mind. It even has two USB ports for directly connecting personal electronic devices such as cell phones.
Using Westinghouse iGen 2500 inverter generator in outdoor public areas will not disturb nearby people as it has a nominal noise level of 52 decibels at 25% load. The housing is designed to dampen noise and the generator is also equipped with silencers.

After some trial and error, I think I can give this generator 5 stars again. Therefore, you cannot start them by pulling when the rope is in the fully "coiled" position. Pull the cable slowly until you feel resistance, then pull a little faster/harder. Since I did that, the generator always starts with less than 10 pulls. (often less than 5) I also opened the spark plug gap a few thousandths, but I don't know if it helped at all.
I just installed a temporary kill switch on the front panel so I can choose to shut it off electronically immediately or by turning the knob to the "off" position where it now runs out of gas after about two minutes. (All I did was hook up the new kill switch to the button kill switch) I really like having that option so I can store gas in the generator without having it in the car.
Good luck!
Original Review: Westinghouse iGen 2500 inverter generator is a fantastic generator/inverter. I originally wanted to use a 2200 watt inverter to run our gas oven and charge my electric wheelchair, but since my wheelchair charges at 240v-8a the max 2200 inverters would have been close to their maximum. . This 2500 is perfect - it charges my chair to just 25% capacity. (Digital readout is a worthy upgrade!) It can also easily handle a 1800W heat gun. registering a surcharge of 50%. Yes, the rpm went up, but that's what it's supposed to do. Also, the increase is fast and true, without delay, which will be important when we use it for our oven.
Westinghouse iGen 2500 inverter generator is extremely quiet. My wife called me shortly after I started it, and even though it was literally 10" from my feet, I couldn't hear it running in the background (it was in economy mode).
For the first run I put about a pint of gas in the tank in case there was a leak, which didn't happen, but it still worked for about 1 hour with that pint. After years of using our gas-guzzling Generac 7500/10500 and swallowing 5 gallons of gas every 7 hours with only one pint for about 1 hour of use, it was great! Well, the Generac 7500e serves a different purpose and acts as a whole house generator, but in hindsight, I would buy and hook up two of these Westinghouse generators instead of one huge generator.
EDITED JANUARY 2020: Unfortunately, after a promising initial review, I found this generator very difficult to get started now. I've always used gas stabilizers and drained the carb bowl, but now I need 30-40 good puffs for this to work. Definitely not what I want for my wife when I'm not around.

Things I like about this generator:
- comes with the perfect amount of oil for the initial run (always swap out the oil after the break-in period, though)
- clearly indicated oil volume, so I could pour new oil in without even looking at the level with the funnel in the way, and the amount filled the oil tank perfectly
- it is as quiet as my other similar sized generator (WEN 2000 watt model)
- Does the job, delivers the electricity, that's the real perk
Things I don't like so much:
- no fuel gauge, so you kind of have to guess, or just keep filling it every ~5-6 hours
- no easy way to drain the oil, but that's pretty much the same with all similar generators
Easily started on the first or second pull each time. Was able to power a refrigerator, home heat (mostly the fans to push the gas heat), a coffee maker (priorities!), and the circuit board for the tankless water heater. I tried to run the microwave once, but that was apparently a bit too much.
The engine did flood once, but pulling the cord on "Run" and not the normal "Choke" and it fired right up. With the generator tank full, a 2.5-gallon tank of extra gas, and running it a few hours in the morning and evening, we kept our refrigerator/freezer plenty cold during a 4+ day power outage.

Conclusion:
The Westinghouse iGen 2500 inverter generator produces up to 2,500 peak watts and 2,200 running watts, making it perfect for emergency home backup during a power outage or recreational uses such as camping and tailgating.
Powered by a 4-Stroke OHV Westinghouse Engine, the Westinghouse iGen 2500 inverter generator is engineered to automatically adjust its engine speed to produce only the amount of power you need for enhanced fuel efficiency.
